The need to do more is a prevalent feeling among the Rebuilding Together Philadelphia Community. Accordingly, RTP's endowment was created to generate additional monies to support roofing and other projects that directly affect low-income homeowners. The endowment is invested and the principal will not be invaded. Income derived from the investment will be used to support homeowners in need according to Board policy. Your gift to RTP's endowment will enable you to have an impact on low-income communities for generations to come.
After initial transfers of funds from RTP's reserves to its endowment, the RTP endowment has grown over time in two ways: 1) Through gifts given in memory or in honor of someone whether it be a birthday, wedding, anniversary or death of a loved one 2) Through gifts made directly to the endowment by those who are particularly interested in supporting RTP for the long term. Currently, RTP's endowment is holding nearly $175,000 in perpetuity.
Many thanks to those individuals and institutions who have made gifts (since April 2005) to one of RTP's two named funds:
Peter C. Daggett Fund
- Gregg Daggett
- Janet and John Daggett
Stephen C. Seweryn Memorial Fund
