Congratulations and thank you to all of RTP I and RTP II's Dragon Boat paddlers. Although our celebration was bittersweet this year, we had a beautiful day. So many of Steve's friends and family joined us. Special thanks to our friendly competitors and loyal supporters: Gung Ho, Red Oar White and Becky's Beauties.

Thanks to Carol Lee Linder, the festival Founder and Executive Director, for her kind words about Steve Seweryn: "The Philadelphia International Dragon Boat Festival Community has suffered a great loss. Steve Seweryn, a long time volunteer, passed away earlier this week. All of us who knew Steve know how much of his time and energy he devoted to our Festival year after year. In honor of Steve, we are dedicating this year’s Festival in Steve’s memory. We know nothing would keep Steve away from our Festival, and we know that he is here in spirit. Our thoughts are with Steve’s wife, Kathy, his children, and his sisters and brother who are all participating today."
