| Our campaign for votes on HGTV's website is still going strong. We need your vote every day through March 2, so that RTP can undertake a major repair project to benefit Philadelphia veterans. Portfolio Marketing Group has been working to promote RTP, creating print and broadcast public service announcements. So while we are optimistic that RTP will be one of the two Rebuilding Together affiliates to receive a $40,000 grant (and be profiled on an HGTV special program), we have already benefitted from this grassroots effort. Jen Wootten to join any of these committees, or commit to volunteering any Saturday between March 28 through April 18. We are looking for skilled volunteers to do "job jar" projects, hospitality volunteers to support our house management teams, and veteran volunteers to serve as Team Leaders. |
Bike & Build engages young adults in service through cross-country and regional cycling trips that raise money for and awareness of affordable housing groups throughout the United States. Since the first trips started in 2003, they have donated over $1.6 million of rider-raised funds to various organizations; a direct result of 750 participants pedaling a cumulative 3.1 million miles. The Capital Ride is the first regional event Bike & Build has produced, and RTP is proud to host a rebuilding project for the trip when they arrive in mid-July.
