♥ This February, why not volunteer with your sweetheart ? ♥

YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD YOUR FRIEND YOUR NETWORK
Wister Neighborhood Advisory Council's headquarters on Germantown Avenue was a packed house on February 13. Seasoned and new house captains learned the ABCs of this spring's Block Build and spent the morning meeting or selecting the homeowners whom will be helped in April. All told, we expect that RTP volunteers will undertake critical repairs, energy efficiency, and safe & healthy home projects for 50+ homeowners by June 30. Learn more about the spring Rebuilding Days. Bob Gross' (above) first contact with RTP was at the 2008 MLK Day project at Face to Face. He mentioned that his skills were underutilized. Now he's on Carrie's speed dial! He was a treasured volunteer for the HGTV project, and has become such a constant fixture at Face to Face that you'll see him with a serving spoon as often as with a hammer. Got skills? Learn how we can put you to work. One of the most powerful actions you can take to help RTP is to talk up our mission and work with your family, friends, and colleagues. More often than not, people enjoy learning how volunteers revitalize low-income communities. By introducing your network to RTP you lay the groundwork for new volunteers, supporters, and partnerships. Suggested ways to spread the spirit: share this e-news; become a Facebook fan; and post RTP news on your page.
