| The Opus Foundation is a significant sponsor for the second time. This year, they will underwrite the Washeteria at Face to Face. Led by Opus East employees and long-time RTP volunteer Scott Gardner of Circa Restoration, RTP volunteers will create a space for the people of Germantown to shower and clean their clothes while they participate in Face to Face's Dining Room, health center, legal clinic, and art program. Thanks to Lisa Most, RTP Board member who works at PREIT, PREIT's internal advertising agency – Portfolio Marketing Group – is developing a marketing plan for RTP. Eager to find a cause that could benefit from their creative talents, the Group opted to help RTP. Their marketing plan will focus on recruiting volunteer teams and skilled volunteers. Team Excel, 10 freshmen at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, truly did excel at their consulting project. They orchestrated the 5th annual Duck for Cover Dodgeball Tournament. More than 100 students participated in the tournament (including the team pictured above). Nearly $1,700 was raised to benefit RTP, and more than 1,000 e-mail addresses were collected on campus for a RTP list serv. Learn more about how students help RTP rebuild low-income communities. |
