In Loving Memory of Steve Seweryn
DEDICATION WALKING THE WALK LEGACY
With the blessing and encouragement of the Seweryn family, RTP and its partner teams participated in the Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday, October 4. It was a moving experience, carrying out Steve's original concept of the event – a time for RTP volunteers to be together as a community. Festival organizers dedicated this 7th annual Festival to Steve, and his fellow steerspeople signed a paddle in his honor. See photos from the day. Many of you have offered your help. Many of you have expressed a desire to DO something. We think Steve also would have been antsy and know he wanted RTP's work to continue without missing a beat. With a host of projects (large and small) before us, volunteers can play cameo or leadership roles. Volunteers can work behind the scenes or on the street. Let us know if you are interested in lending a hand. With a gift from a long-time Board member, the RTP Board of Directors has established the Stephen C. Seweryn Memorial Fund. Any gifts given in memory of Steve will be set aside in his name within RTP's endowment. The endowment is a permanent resource for replacing roofs and completing other projects that directly benefit homeowners. We are so sad to lose our friend and are committed to continuing Steve's legacy by serving homeowners in need, in perpetuity.
