It is with a great sense of loss that we inform you of the passing of our friend Steve Seweryn on September 30, 2008. Steve was more than just RTP's executive director (since 2001). He was a father, grandfather, husband, neighbor, leader, and friend. We have the warmest memories of Steve's energy, integrity, and talent; his life shined out and touched so many others. We will cherish the memories of the times we spent together, and Steve's legacy of neighbors helping neighbors at RTP. Steve will remain within our hearts, and we will continue to honor his passion for the mission of RTP. The RTP family's sincere thoughts and prayers are with the Seweryn family.

The Board of Directors of RTP has established the Stephen C. Seweryn Memorial Fund within the RTP endowment. Gifts in memory of Steve will be directed toward this endowment and can be sent to Rebuilding Together Philadelphia, P.O. Box 42752, Philadelphia, PA 19101-2752.
