Rebuilding Together Philadelphia

  WHAT WE DO
     WHO WE ARE
     HOW YOU CAN HELP
HONORING TAL AND JUSTIN ON THEIR WEDDING DAY

Justin (along with a large contingent of Seweryn family and friends) has been volunteering with Rebuilding Together Philadelphia for many years. RTP helps low-income homeowners by making critical repairs to their homes. Our Block Build approach enables us to have an impact on an entire neighborhood, in addition to individual homeowners and families. As RTP volunteers return over a series of several weekends, they notice more neighbors out working on their own homes or yards. Teams of neighbors and volunteers clean streets and vacant lots. We also look for nearby community centers that need repairs, so that RTP volunteers can have an impact on even more lives. Volunteers are transforming not just homes and lives, but whole communities!

All gifts in honor of Tal and Justin's wedding supported Rebuilding Together Philadelphia's endowment, to build a legacy for the future, in memory of Justin's father, Stephen C. Seweryn. Steve began volunteering as a skilled carpenter with RTP in the early 1990s, became a board member in 1997, then served as Executive Director from 2001 to 2008. We have the warmest memories of Steve's energy, integrity, and talent. The Seweryn family and a large number of Seweryn friends continue to make a difference every day in the lives of Philadelphia's low-income homeowners and communities by volunteering with RTP.
