Volunteer Spotlight: Bill Grun, 97

“Volunteering is in my blood. It’s a wonderful thing to work with so many people who give up their time and talents to those in need.” Bill Grun, 97, is an experienced and avid volunteer for RTP and proudly served our country for 27 years in the Navy. Bill is a World War II veteran and carpenter who wants to pay it forward by doing something he just “really loves to do”. Bill got involved with RTP last Spring volunteering with Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian church. He has traveled to New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, and Florida to volunteer. Living here in Philadelphia, Bill saw the many effects poverty has on the surrounding neighborhoods and wanted to get involved and provide real change himse

Job Summary RTP is seeking an experienced part-time (10-15 hours per week) Administrative Assistant to provide program, database, events and general office assistance. This position reports to the Development & Communication Manager. Responsibilities Assist with database entry and donor file management Assist with donor deposits and thank you letters General office support, including mail merges, mailings, supply ordering, and answering phones Assist with organization of hospitality supplies, signs, and materials in the RTP warehouse Assist with all aspects of annual fundraiser that include paperwork, timelines, and registration lists Assist with responding to homeowner and volunteer inquir

Welcome Harold De Loach

Harold De Loach is our newly-hired Program Manager for Vo Tech in the House! Before joining RTP, Harold was the Assistant Director of Education for Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC-Southeastern PA Chapter). Prior to joining ABC, he directed a work readiness construction technology program within the Philadelphia Prison System. Harold is also a certified electrician and a teacher of electrical licensing preparation courses; he is trained and certified by the National Center for Construction Education and Research.
