Jimmy Cogill

It with great sadness that we share the passing of a member of our family, longtime RTP Super Captain, Jimmy Cogill. Jimmy was a valued and dependable member of the RTP team and an extraordinary volunteer. Jimmy served as a house captain, a super captain, a delivery man, a sounding board - and so much more. He was always willing to make a run to Home Depot the night before a build for any last minute items. And on Saturdays he was there early with the flowers for all of the planter boxes. On Block Build days, Jimmy was always there until the very end of the day – even in a complete downpour. And at the end of that very long day, Jimmy still had a smile on his face and a compliment for the hardworking RTP staff. We will miss his wit, his humor, his advice, and his guidance. In 2014, we recognized Jimmy as our volunteer of the year, there was no debate. He was a reliable staple at all of our Block Builds. Jimmy always brought a smile to the face of all of us on staff and his presence at our Block Builds will be missed immensely. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Cogill family during this time. Thank you for sharing Jimmy with us. A service is being held on Friday, September 8th in West Chester. If you are interested in attending please see more information here. We miss you already Jimmy, The Rebuilding Together Philadelphia Board and Staff
