Haddington Block Build 2019 Recap

Rebuilding Together Philadelphia’s Haddington Block was a success!

On June 7th and 8th, over 150 [Re]Builders worked on 8 homes to make them safer, healthier and energy efficient for their residents. Some highlights from the Build:

  • We had over 150 volunteers for both days!

  • Homeowner Ms. Vanessa Wallace-Tervalon welcomed everyone in attendance and served as a spokesperson for the Robinson and Horton Street residents.

  • Senator Vincent Hughes, Councilman Curtis Jones, State Representative Morgan Cephas and other public officials shared their appreciation for the work that was done. They had a chance to meet with homeowners and volunteers and tour the houses where our volunteers were working.

  • RTP’s very own Black Belt, Tony Gonzalez, guided Saturday’s volunteers through fun stretching exercises to get pumped up for the day – you had to be there!

  • Thanks to Team Rubicon for joining us on both days and inviting additional veterans and active duty service members to help! Click here to view more photos from the Haddington Block Build as well as Before and After photos.
