Coming Together in Kensington

October 18, 2019

On October 11th and 12th, over 200 [Re]Builders worked on 10 homes to make them safer, healthier, and energy efficient for their residents. Volunteers and homeowners gathered to remove carpet, paint walls, affix grab bars, install fire extinguishers, build curbside planters, and more!

Some highlights from the Build:

  • NBC 10’s Stephania Jimenez joined us to put a spotlight on the importance of safe and healthy homes.

  • Homeowners Ms. Deborah Lewis and Scott Spann welcomed everyone in attendance and served as spokespeople for the Cambria, William and Tulip Streets residents.

  • State Senator Larry Farnese, State Representative Mary Isaacson, Councilwoman Maria D. Quiñones- Sánchez, State Representative Isabella Fitzgerald, Kimberly Turner-Dixon from Congressman Dwight Evans’ office, City Planning & Development Director Anne Fadullon and PRA Director Greg Heller, and other officials met homeowners and volunteers.
