“We’re hoping that with this picture others will see it and remember RTP in their wills.”- Andy Bellwoar
RTP has received a tremendous gift from The Estate of Harry and Joan Bellwoar. Their son, Andy, spoke during the ceremonial check award at the Parkside Garden Project. Joined by wife Jenn and brother Vince, the Bellwoar children rolled up their sleeves to help the rest of our volunteers build and assemble raised garden beds. Andy encouraged others to follow the example of his late parents and remember Rebuilding Together Philadelphia in their wills.
“It’s a wonderful day for us because it’s also my dad’s birthday and though we miss him and my mom dearly I’m glad that we’re here to be able to celebrate their legacy of giving.”
“It’s very easily done to remember it in the will and then on the backside to write a check from the estate. So hopefully that encourages others.”
Several members of the Bellwoar family have volunteered with RTP over the years, including when they generously sponsored a Block Build house to honor their parents’ 50th wedding anniversary.
“The generous $75,000 gift has already begun to have a major impact on RTP’s ability to achieve safe and healthy homes for everyone.” CEO Stefanie Seldin announced.
