House Management Teams

When we plan a Block Build, we reach out to our Sponsors first to form House Management Teams. A House Management Team is a group of volunteers that help with repairs in one home.

Each team has a House Captain and a Skilled Captain to lead the project, either recruited by the sponsor team or from RTPs pool of experienced team leaders. When sponsors are not able to recruit enough volunteers, we open volunteer spots to individuals and small groups.

Skilled Trades

While we put volunteers of all skill levels to work, the truth is that volunteers from the skilled trades are in high demand at Rebuilding Days, and help RTP stretch our dollars to help more homeowners.
Whether you'd like to volunteer your time individually, or get a group of co-workers involved, contact Operations Manager Brandon Alcorn to learn more about opportunities for skilled volunteers.

Individual and Small Groups

Block Builds often include additional projects which are open to individuals and small groups, such as:

  • Curbside Planters

  • Weatherization

  • Hospitality

  • House Captains and Super Captains

  • Tree Planting

  • Lot Cleaning and Landscaping

  • Street Clean-up
